Arabella Advisors seeks a diligent accounting professional to join our Corporate Finance team in Washington, DC. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will prepare accurate financial information, review invoices, process payments, reconcile statements, and assist with month-end closes and Form 1099 reporting in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting, at least one year of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a proven ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• At least one year of accounting experience
• Knowledge of accrual accounting
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Ability to report complex data clearly

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for documentation and approval
• Process check, EFT and wire requests
• Match invoices to checks and distribute payments
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements and payments
• Reconcile employee expense reimbursements
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to vendor inquiries
• Assist with month-end close and journal entries
• Maintain files per policy and accounting practices
• Assist with Form 1099 reporting
• Assist with annual audit and tax reconciliation schedules
