Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations for a mission-driven organization in Alexandria, VA. • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience with AP and AR responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Sage Intacct or ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments, and vendor transactions
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records
• Record daily cash receipts and prepare deposits
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
• Reconcile corporate credit card and expense transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
• Support annual audit requests and reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with internal departments regarding billing, payments, and financial transactions
