Job summary

Amentum in Colorado Springs is seeking a Test Engineer to support NORAD ITW/AA and NISSC 3. The role involves rigorous testing of mission-critical software and systems, development of test plans and artifacts, and ensuring traceability to requirements.

You will collaborate with Agile teams to refine acceptance criteria and support testing strategies. The position is on site at Amentum Downtown Building in Colorado Springs with a SECRET clearance and up to 10% travel; salary ranges from $105,000

Qualifications

• Clearance requirements: Secret with potential to obtain Top Secret.
• Experience testing CCIC2S and NISSC mission systems in the last year.
• 3+ years of software/systems testing and verification, or 3+ years of engineering experience with NISSC program systems.
• 3+ years of general work history.
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices (requirements traceability, configuration management, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with developers, systems engineers, and mission stakeholders.
• Ability to support occasional off-hours or surge test events.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of software applications with advanced functionalities and complex IO.
• Develop and maintain Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports per program standards and Agile processes.
• Ensure requirements tracing by linking test steps/results to specs and verification criteria.
• Execute test procedures to validate system functionality and workflows.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide diagnostic support to resolve anomalies.
