Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Test Engineer to support NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex ITW/AA and Space Support Contract 3. The role involves conducting extensive testing, developing artifacts, and ensuring traceability across system specifications and verification criteria.

The position is onsite at the Amentum Downtown Building in Colorado Springs, CO, with a Secret clearance requirement and a salary range of $105,000–$120,000 per year depending on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• 3 years of software/systems testing and verification experience
• Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
• Experience testing CCIC2S and NISSC mission systems in the last year
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices (requirements traceability, configuration management)
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders
• Ability to support occasional off-hours or surge test events

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of software applications with advanced functionalities, constraints, and I/O configurations
• Develop and maintain test artifacts (Plans, Procedures, Reports) per program standards and Agile processes
• Ensure requirements traceability by linking test steps/results to specifications and verification criteria
• Execute test procedures to validate system functionality, workflows, and mission-critical behavior
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide diagnostic support to identify and resolve anomalies
• Provide test expertise during design reviews and technical interchange meetings
• Interpret requirements and perform analyses to ensure testability and compliance
• Collaborate with Agile and Project teams to refine Acceptance and Verification Criteria
• Support Agile and Project teams in developing/testing strategies
• Attend Agile/Project meetings (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, IPT discussions)
