Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mission Assurance System Administrator to support NORAD ITW/AA and NISSC 3 at the Pentagon, Washington DC. The role focuses on maintaining and securing critical system infrastructure, troubleshooting complex hardware/software issues, and coordinating with engineers and maintenance teams on-site.

The ideal candidate will have TS/SCI eligibility, DoD IAT Level II+ security, extensive Linux/Windows administration experience, VMware, AD and network knowledge, and a track record

Qualifications

• Active TS with SCI eligibility.
• Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+).
• 10+ years general work experience.
• 8+ years directly related experience.
• 2–4 years Mission Assurance Center experience.
• Linux administration, Windows OS, VMware, LAN/WAN knowledge.
• Active Directory/domain knowledge.
• Understanding of virtual machines and Remote Desktop.
• Windows system administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, peripheral, and networking problems.
• Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.
• Optimize, fine‑tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
• Identify and corrects processing anomalies.
• Create incident reports and perform data collection.
• Provide server, workstation, and application expertise to users.
• Support to other work centers and test community.
• Escort and support engineers and maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate higher level support with Mission Assurance Centers.
