Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a Technology Project Designer to lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, A/V, and security systems in a hybrid Chicago/Naperville setting. The role collaborates with senior staff and mentors junior team members while supporting education, institutional, and MEP markets.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and align with IMEG quality standards. This position requires up to 50% travel and a strong background in low‑voltage ICT systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent required
• 3 years minimum, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
• Associates degree or certificate in BIM or Engineering preferred; 7 years minimum, 8 preferred, in building design consulting or construction industry
• Engineering-related certifications (e.g., EIT) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
• Use engineering software to create designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and maintain client relationships.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling; monitor design progress.
• Provide in-process design reviews and ensure quality control per industry standards.
