Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Stationary Operations Engineer to oversee and maintain stationary equipment across mission-critical facilities in the Washington, DC area. This role covers boilers, HVAC, chillers, pumps, and related systems, with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering teams. Strong reading of plans and procedures is essential; security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• U.S. Citizenship eligibility for security access; ability to obtain active clearances.
• Experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting central utility plants and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain stationary equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Operate boilers, HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, and related controls.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot, and document actions in CMMS.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, sequences of operations, and specs.
• Maintain logs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure continuous, safe facility operation.
