Job summary

Navstar Inc seeks a highly skilled, cleared engineer to maintain and optimize development, testing and production environments. You will build automation, manage CI/CD pipelines, and implement robust security and configuration management across diverse OS platforms.

The role emphasizes deployment tools, microservices, and collaboration with an integrated team to meet mission-focused objectives and industry best practices, including incident response and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems or related field; 4+ years with a BA or 2+ years with a MS.
• Experience with deployment technologies such as Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience with metrics monitoring and dashboards (Grafana).
• Understanding of user access practices and security controls.
• Understanding of system administration across OS environments.
• Strong CM tools experience.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of SDLC best practices.
• Able to work independently and in a team; willing to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintains development, testing and production environments.
• Builds and deploys automation, monitoring and analysis solutions.
• Manages CI/CD pipeline to maximize efficiency.
• Implements configuration management and system hardening practices.
• Develops and maintains operational, backup, disaster recovery and security monitoring solutions.
• Evaluates systems and recommends improvements.
• Builds and maintains deployment tools and microservices for the operations platform.
• Tests system integrity and deployment changes; makes improvements as needed.
• Manages code deployments and related processes.
• Works with open-source technologies as needed.
• Works with CI/CD tools and source control (Git, SVN).
• Provides technical support for back-end software development.
• Keeps up to date with industry trends and explores ways to improve.
