Job summary

Navstar Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps professional to lead a small team and enhance our product delivery lifecycle.

You will oversee Kubernetes-based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and system hardening while ensuring secure access controls and reliable operations across development, testing, and production environments. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, a 9+ year track record in CS/engineering, and deep experience with Kubernetes, Grafana, and configuration management.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Senior level: Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or related field and 9+ years of related experience.
• Experience with deployment technologies like Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience with metrics monitoring and dashboards (Grafana).
• Understanding of user access practices and security controls.
• OS environment system administration knowledge.
• Strong configuration management tooling experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; on-call hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Finds deficiencies in product delivery lifecycle and architecture and implements best practices.
• Oversees hiring input for a small DevOps team to run operations.
• Inspects, patches, and upgrades products for reliability in customer environments.
• Maintains development, testing, and production environments.
• Manages CI/CD pipelines to maximize efficiency.
• Implements hardening and configuration management best practices.
• Develops and maintains solutions for backups, DR, and security/performance monitoring.
• Tests system integrity and deployments; drives improvements.
• Manages code deployments and related processes.
• Works with CI/CD tools and source control (Git).
• Provides technical support and develops backend software.
• Stays current with industry trends and seeks improvements.
