Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a government maintenance program for diverse data and voice communications equipment in the Washington, DC area. The role requires high-level security clearance and technical expertise in mobile and fixed communications systems.

The candidate will perform maintenance, configuration, and training duties, while ensuring secure communications and field readiness for government operations.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, configuration, implementation, and installation of mobile and fixed communications platforms.
• Manage inventory control documents and life cycle maintenance schedules.
• Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on SATCOM, VOIP, and radio platforms.
• Provide admin, operations, and customer support in field environments.
• Handle COMSEC keying material and support replacement, upgrades, and augmentations.
• Develop training seminars for customers on mobile secure communications.
• Document standard operating procedures and system information.
• Support logistics operations for acquisition, receipt, relocation, and deployment.
