Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the field safety program across construction projects. You will monitor sites, collect accident data, and ensure compliance with government and company safety policies.

You will administer safety testing, investigations, and reporting while partnering with leadership to improve training and safety performance. A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in safety are required, with strong communication and MS Office skills and a focus on team

• Bachelor's degree required; experience may substitute in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Manages and implements the field safety program and team for construction projects.
• Communicates safety philosophies and values to site staff and project management to ensure compliance.
• Interprets company, owner and government safety policies and recommendations.
• Compiles accident statistics and recommends changes to safety programs.
• Administers and monitors drug and alcohol testing.
• Implements accident/incident reporting protocols.
• Supports investigations and abatements.
• Coordinates with external insurance for safety-related claims.
• Conducts regular safety audits and documents hazards and abatements.
