Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a Senior Safety Specialist to coordinate and implement the field safety program across routine and complex construction projects in Missouri. The role requires conducting inspections, documenting abatement of hazardous conditions, and writing reports in support of our safety strategy and values.

You will lead safety training, oversee contractor safety plans, and contribute to trend analysis to improve site safety.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform work accurately and in a timely manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; both are essential.
• Proficient with MS Office and safety software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections to ensure compliance with laws and JE Dunn policies.
• Record findings, document abatement actions and track progress in safety systems.
• Oversee new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Support safety leadership in training, meetings and safety committees.
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
