Job summary

JE Dunn seeks a Safety Manager to lead the field safety program across construction projects. You will manage a safety team, monitor sites, and ensure compliance with government and company policies. The role requires strong communication, incident reporting, and training delivery capabilities.

You will drive safety improvements, conduct audits, and collaborate with site leadership to implement abatement measures while maintaining a culture of inclusion and high standards of safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field (Required).
• 8+ years construction safety experience (Required).
• 0-2 years team lead or team management experience (Required).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company safety regulations.
• Proficiency in company safety software/programs (Advanced).

Responsibilities

• Manages and implements the field safety program and team for construction projects.
• Communicates safety philosophies and values to site personnel to ensure compliance and acceptance of safety programs.
• Interprets policies and recommendations from company, owner and government.
• Compiles accident statistics and recommends changes to safety programs.
• Administers and monitors drug and alcohol testing.
• Implements accident reporting protocols and timely reporting.
• Assists with investigations and abatement implementation.
• Coordinates with external insurance contacts on safety-related claims.
• Conducts regular safety audits and follows up on abatement.
• Develops training strategies and plans to support objectives.
• Leads and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion.
