Job summary

Hourigan-Construction in Richmond, VA is seeking a Scheduler to join our Mission Critical team. The role develops and maintains project schedules from pursuit to turnover, coordinating with project teams to ensure integrated, compliant plans. This exempt, full-time position requires scheduling proficiency and strong communication.

You will support pursuit schedules, baseline schedules, and routine updates while applying good scheduling practices and company policies. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 2–5 years of experience on related projects for a general contractor with planning/scheduling.
• Knowledge of drawings, blueprints, planning and scheduling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and drawings to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Develop Baseline Schedules and Narratives with project teams.
• Use scheduling software and assist teams in schedule development.
• Perform weekly and monthly schedule updates with narratives.
• Coordinate schedule input from internal and external sources for an integrated plan.
• Generate reports, review progress, and assist in developing workarounds as needed.
• Communicate schedule issues and impacts to project leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Hourigan scheduling policies and safety practices.
