Job summary

Suffolk Construction in Houston is seeking a Project Manager for the Mission Critical Center of Excellence. You will lead resources, manage budgets, coordinate with owners, architects, and trades, and ensure project milestones are met from start to closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience in construction management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong contract/legal provisions knowledge.
• Ability to analyze financial trade-offs and manage cash flow on projects.
• Strong leadership, diplomatic communication, and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Suffolk Field Supervision, Subs, and Vendors to follow the Project Schedule.
• Represent Suffolk with Owner, Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Build strong client and project team relationships.
• Oversee project start-up, budgeting, and milestones; plan mobilization and schedule of values.
• Manage buyouts, subcontracts, and change orders; ensure insurance compliance.
• Attend and chair schedule and management meetings; ensure proactive issue resolution.
• Deliver manuals, closeout documentation, warranties, and training to the owner.
