Alston Construction, a nationwide general contractor, is seeking an MEP Estimator in Tempe, AZ. You will assist management in the estimating phase of Data Center projects, delivering thorough, accurate, and competitive estimates to win profitable work.

Responsibilities include cost estimates through design to permit documents, bid package preparation, and bid solicitation leadership, with emphasis on MEP systems and design-build experience. OSHA 10 and CPR certifications are preferred.

Qualificações

• Degree in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–5 years of estimating experience for a general contractor (conceptual and hard bid).
• 2–3 years of experience in specialized MEP estimating is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and site conditions.
• OSHA 10-hour Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Valid State-issued driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare cost estimates through all design phases to construction documents.
• Prepare bid packages and lead bid solicitation and RFPs.
• Perform takeoffs of multiple trades to minimize cost risks.
• Analyze subcontractor proposals for cost, scope, and completeness.
• Develop and maintain cost data and assumptions for future estimates.
• Coordinate transition of estimates to Preconstruction/Project Manager.
• Assist with pricing and negotiating owner and subcontractor change orders.
• Develop relationships with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
