Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Information Systems Watch Technician to join our team in the Arlington, VA area. You will ensure telecommunications systems are fully functional for senior leader decision support teams and operate on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7/365 operations.

The role requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years or CE eligibility, plus the ability to obtain/maintain special accesses.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with adjudication in last 5 years or CE eligibility.
• 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting circuits and equipment.
• Experience making, running, testing cables, performing loopbacks, installing equipment.
• Experience using VTC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance and testing of IT/RF voice, video, data systems and networks.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and restore communications systems and services.
• Brief customers on operational status and decisions.
• Set up, operate and train users on voice, video and data networks, including radio, satellite and network architecture.
• Make tactical decisions to meet mission objectives under stressed conditions.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer expectations and coordinate with third-party providers.
