Job summary

Amentum in Dayton, OH seeks a Telecommunications Specialist to maintain and support the customer’s telecommunications systems for senior leaders. Requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years or CE, and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

Work is Mon–Fri in office (8 hours), with on-call duties rotated among the team; travel expected 10–20%. Must meet minimum education (AS) and 5 years of experience, plus CompTIA Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance adjudicated within last 5 years (or CE) and ability to obtain special accesses.
• Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Install horizontal and vertical network/telecommunications infra per standards.
• Experience setting up/troubleshooting network systems and telecom equipment.
• Experience with RF/voice/video/data systems and satellite systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, test, analyze, troubleshoot and restore communications systems and services.
• Coordinate availability and performance with 3rd party providers as required.
• Set up, operate and train users on voice/video/data networks and radio/satellite systems.
• Manage workload to meet customer expectations and demand levels.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
