Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our Dayton, OH team. You will maintain and support telecom systems, ensuring availability for senior decision-support teams, with an active DoD TS/SCI clearance or CE eligibility and ability to obtain special accesses.

The role involves on-site work, travel 10-20%, and collaboration with customers to design, plan and test new capabilities while ensuring systems are properly installed and online.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance within last 5 years or CE clearance and ability to obtain special accesses.
• Five years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience installing horizontal/vertical network and telecommunications infrastructures per industry standards.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting network systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Experience wiring, testing cables, and performing loopbacks; familiarity with VTC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance and testing of telecommunications systems and services.
• Coordinate with 3rd party providers for availability, performance and restoration.
• Set up, operate, and train users on voice, video and data networks including radio and satellite systems.
• Make tactical decisions in stressed environments to meet mission objectives.
• Prioritize workloads to meet customer expectations amidst changing conditions.
• Identify process improvements to increase customer value and efficiency.
• Support design, planning and testing of new systems and ensure proper installation and online readiness.
