Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Critical Facility Technician to ensure the reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across campus environments.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with Onsite Engineering Operations and vendors to sustain mission-critical infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have CET2 training or equivalent, strong reading of blueprints, CMMS experience, and the ability to log activities and support CET3/4

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with extensive field experience (8+ years).
• CET2 training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Experience with CMMS systems and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure system uptime.
• Coordinate with OEO and vendors; report to Program Manager.
• Document activities in CMMS and maintain maintenance records.
• Operate and troubleshoot MV/LV distribution equipment, UPS, generators, and controls.
• Assist CET3/4 technicians with higher-level procedures when needed.
• Conduct daily facility walk-throughs and monitor critical parameters.
