Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a data center technician to maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems supporting mission-critical facilities.

You will act as a technical resource to program managers and onsite operations, ensuring uptime and safe operations of essential infrastructure. The role requires interpreting diagrams, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with vendors. A HS diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience, along with capable security clearance

Qualifications

• Reading wiring diagrams and construction documents.
• Performing daily preventative maintenance and response to emergencies.
• Maintaining compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within data centers operates at peak efficiency.
• Provide expert technical resource support to program managers and Onsite Engineering Operations.
• Maintain maintenance records per regulatory requirements and CMMS.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, OEM instructions, and MOP/SOPs.
• Assist CET3/4 technicians and train others as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, BMS/EPMS systems, and related equipment.

Skills

Reading blueprints/wiring diagrams

Safety and lockout/tagout procedures

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Journeyman Electrician/HVAC license or equivalent
