Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Systems Operator to join our team. The role focuses on safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical systems, with emphasis on reliability and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include monitoring substations, transformers, and UPS using SCADA, performing preventive maintenance, and promptly responding to alarms. High school diploma required; experience in critical facilities preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and high-voltage distribution.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Ability to perform calculations for power loads and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor electrical distribution systems including substations and UPS.
• Use SCADA or similar systems to control and oversee facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to maximize reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues; respond to alarms and outages promptly.
• Follow LOTO and other safety protocols; maintain detailed logs and reports.
