Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Commissioning Consultant to perform technical work and project management under supervision. The role involves planning, testing, and documentation for commissioning projects, with the potential for nationwide locations and 75%+ travel.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree in electrical engineering, some consulting experience, and strong writing skills for client-facing reports and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of consulting engineering experience preferred.
• LEED AP or PE/EIT a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in commissioning projects from planning through start-up.
• Prepare commissioning scripts, tests, and reports for client sites.
• Direct on-site testing and train staff on commissioning procedures.
• Develop SOPs and MOPs and maintain commissioning documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive testing procedures and results for systems.
• Interface with contractors, vendors, and testing technicians.
• Produce recommendations to optimize building operations.
