Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Commissioning Consultant to perform basic technical and project management duties under supervision. The role includes independent technical work on commissioning tasks, guidance to coordinators, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders across projects.

The position requires 75% travel domestically and a technical electrical background. Eligible candidates may be located near Stantec offices with flexibility for right location.

Qualifications

• Technical/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
• 1+ years consulting engineering experience is preferred.
• Licensure or progress toward licensure (PE/EIT) is a plus.
• LEED AP accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of commissioning projects including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
• Perform engineering design reviews, prepare commissioning scripts and reports, direct client-site testing and training.
• Prepare start-up procedures, SOPs, MOPs, and comprehensive commissioning documentation.
• Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports.
• Develop and maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and tracking tools.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for optimizing building operations.
• Review design criteria, specs, drawings and submittals related to commissioning.
• Participate in commissioning meetings and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and testers.
• Conduct tests and compile results; integrate system and load bank testing.
• Develop functional tests for electrical systems such as UPS, generators, and switchgear PDUs.
