Vantor is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the development of statistical and machine learning models for the FALCON program. Remote work is possible across the continental United States.

You will build models to detect kinematic behaviors using live and historical data, run simulations, and drive analytics into the system with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. The role requires Top Secret/CBP-DHS suitability and a strong background in time series, geospatial analysis, and data

Qualifications

• US citizen with active security clearance.
• 5+ years of industry experience in data science.
• 3+ years applying ML to time series and geospatial data.
• Experience processing/cleaning time series data and geospatial data.
• Strong statistical background in regression, testing, and probability.
• Proficient in Python and data libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar data stores and Git.
• Ability to work in Agile/Kanban and remote-first environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of analytics software, back-end services, and data pipelines.
• Create and refine analytic solutions meeting customer needs.
• Integrate data from multiple sources for a unified operating picture.
• Design and evaluate ML models for time series and geospatial data.
• Produce analytics reports and present results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and customers in an agile setting.
