Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support cost management services on a large-scale construction program. The role involves estimating, procurement, cost control, change management, and commercial oversight from preconstruction through project completion in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in cost management within construction, with experience on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a cost management role within construction.
• Experience on large, complex projects; RICS accreditation is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals, attend bid interviews, and manage appointment process.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees, direct costs; review junior staff estimates; present to client; conduct value engineering risk assessments.
• Establish cost reporting schedule; review forecasts and budgets; maintain risk register; host meetings with project team and vendors.
• Review payment applications; liaise to recommend entitlements; review change orders; manage disputes and contract closeouts.
• Oversee invoicing process and post-contract audits; conduct post-contract reviews to derive lessons learned.
