Job summary

Burns & McDonnell, Dallas/Fort Worth area, seeks a Construction Project Manager to support EPC project managers from pre-construction through warranty. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, and field staff on mission-critical projects.

You will develop project plans, manage RFPs, bids, and supplier relations, and mentor staff. Excellent communication, planning, and leadership are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of relevant project management experience in the construction industry.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and successful execution of one or multiple projects.
• Provide direction in planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and setting critical objectives.
• Develop and manage client relationships and interface with clients on proposals and project items.
• Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Implement project execution plans including construction, QA, safety, and procurement plans.
• Oversee staffing, risk reviews, and cost/margin controls; report progress to management.
