Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute construction on a mission-critical facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. You will work closely with owners, designers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, and quality standards are met.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least eight years of construction experience, with preference for mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in engineering, Architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex commercial construction projects; mission-critical project experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders for day-to-day construction activities.
• Develop and maintain project work schedules and coordinate delivery of critical materials.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with contract documents and schedules.
• Coordinate work across trades to maintain efficient sequencing and minimize delays.
• Identify and resolve design clarifications, labor, equipment, and schedule issues.
• Coordinate project mock-ups, testing, and approvals.
• Support implementation of the project safety program with EHS teams.
• Monitor field operations, staffing, and progress.
• Ensure permits, insurance docs, and regulatory requirements remain current.
• Coordinate with inspection agencies and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Support environmental and stormwater compliance.
• Monitor general conditions to align with project budget.
• Review monthly estimates, WIP, invoices, payroll, billing, and contractor payments.
• Review drawings and contracts to support execution.
• Assist with tracking costs, schedule performance, and procurement.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff; promote accountability and teamwork.
• Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance project efficiency.
