Job summary

Clayco is seeking a senior Construction Manager/Superintendent to lead field operations in Columbus, OH. You will oversee on-site construction activities, subcontractor management, cost and schedule control, and daily reporting to ensure projects meet engineering designs, safety standards, and client expectations.

Ideal candidates have 20–25 years of relevant experience, a civil engineering or construction management degree, OSHA 30, and a track record on mission-critical data center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related technical degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Experience with successful interface management on Data Center/Mission Critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct all on-site construction activities; be the primary contact for field operations.
• Ensure construction complies with design/specs; manage schedule and budget.
• Manage subcontractors, field engineering, contract administration, cost controls, and daily reports.
• Develop and execute project safety, environmental, and labor plans; ensure compliance with codes and policies.
• Coordinate with project management for subcontracting, training, and client communications.
• Support field supervision and review project schedules with superintendents and foremen.
