Job summary

Switch is seeking a dedicated Datacenter Operations Technician to act as the primary contact for incident investigations and to monitor our infrastructure. You will diagnose alarms, document actions, and collaborate on process improvements within Mission Control.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights or weekends. A background in IT and data center environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Osha 10 certification required within 6 months.
• CompTIA A+ recommended.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for event and incident investigations.
• Actively monitor Switch infrastructure using various applications.
• Detect, diagnose, and respond to a variety of alarms to ensure remediation of events.
• Accurately document and track all actions and activities.
• Provide input for optimization of tools, processes and procedures within Switch Mission Control.
• Troubleshoot and escalate as needed using sound judgement.
• Provide end-to-end external support for issues within area of responsibility.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Support Datacenter Operations Facilities teams with technical support as needed.
• Maintain Datacenter and Mission Control Operations following company procedures.
