Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Autonomy Flight Test Engineer to advance testing methodologies for autonomous systems and to design comprehensive test plans across simulated mission profiles. You will analyze data, refine autonomy algorithms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive timelines at multiple test locations.

You will coordinate with private and government ranges, travel as required, and maintain readiness for a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent autonomous systems testing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of flight testing experience with autonomous or remotely piloted systems.
• Experience developing and executing test plans for complex systems under aggressive timelines.
• Familiarity with mission autonomy, unmanned systems, and integration of assets into cohesive operational frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret test data and diagnose behaviors.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical challenges and solutions.
• Willingness to travel to testing locations and work flexible hours.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Possibility of pre-employment substance screening.

Responsibilities

• Drive advancement of testing methodologies for mission autonomy systems, ensuring robust performance in complex scenarios.
• Design and implement test plans that challenge autonomous systems across simulated mission profiles.
• Analyze test data to validate performance and refine autonomy algorithms.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and product teams to define test requirements and alignment with objectives.
• Lead end-to-end test management, designing requirements, leading execution, and delivering clear reports.
• Execute and analyze simulations that replicate real-world autonomous scenarios to accelerate testing.
• Coordinate with private and government test ranges to evaluate systems and software.
