Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Autonomy Flight Test Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA to advance autonomous systems testing for our defense platforms, including Fury UAS. You will design test plans, run simulations, analyze results, and collaborate with software/hardware teams to iteratively improve autonomy performance.

The role requires a strong background in flight testing, autonomy, data analysis, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of flight testing experience with autonomous/remotely piloted systems.
• Experience developing and executing test plans under tight timelines.
• Knowledge of mission autonomy, unmanned systems, and multi-asset integration.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret test data and recommend improvements.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Drive testing methodologies for mission autonomy systems across diverse scenarios.
• Design and implement test plans for autonomous systems in simulated missions.
• Analyze test data to validate performance and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and product teams to align test requirements.
• Lead end-to-end test management: requirements, plans, execution, reporting.
• Run simulations that replicate real-world autonomous scenarios to accelerate testing.
• Coordinate with private and government ranges for testing.
