Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking interns to contribute to missile defense and electronic warfare projects. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to develop algorithms, models, run simulations, and analyze test data to improve defensive systems.

You will gain hands-on experience in software development, data analysis, and model implementation while learning about warfighting missions and related domains.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in engineering, data science, computer science, physics, applied math, or related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Passion for developing software and analyzing data.
• Experience with C++, Java, or similar.
• Eligible for Interim Secret clearance with potential for Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Model, simulate, analyze, and/or develop software for missile defense or electronic warfare systems.
• Learn about warfighting missions and domains where the team has impact.
• Gain technical experience in algorithm development, model implementation, data analysis, and/or software development.
