Job summary

Open Bank is seeking an MIS Specialist to join our MIS team. You will design methods to collect and retrieve data, enhance reporting, and ensure MIS activities run smoothly across departments.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, solid IT basics, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable reports. A bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field is preferred but not required.

Job Title: MIS Specialist

Department: Management Information System (MIS)

We are looking for an MIS Specialist to join our MIS team at Open Bank! The Management Information System (MIS) Specialist provides end users with information by designing methods to collect and retrieve data; maximizes computer system capabilities by studying technical applications and making recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifies end user requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual end users and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Provide customer support for system functional, operational, and technical issues.
• Develop MIS process improvements for increased efficiency.
• Maintain and support MIS activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems/ issues.
• Provide technical support to ensure that hardware and software systems are fully functional.
• Manage security administration activities for systems.
• Create and generate reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct system training to appropriate staff on a regular basis.
• Manage system maintenance and security activities.
• Train users in new applications and upgrades.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information or Computer Information or related field or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
• Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
• Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the IT functions.
