Job summary

Turner Mining Group seeks a surveying professional for the Thacker Pass Project in Nevada. You will conduct ground and UAV surveys, draft with AutoCAD, and support mine planning and production through data management and mapping.

The role involves coordinating with engineering, geology, and operations, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering timely survey deliverables for project milestones.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education in civil engineering technology, surveying, or related discipline or equivalent surveying/computer experience.
• FAA Part 107 drone license required or to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson/Trimble, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience in surveying at a surface mining operation.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data using GPS and traditional surveying equipment.
• Pilot UAS for aerial surveys and process data to produce topo maps and quantities.
• Perform CAD tasks such as volume computations and 3‑D modeling.
• Prepare end‑of‑month reports, pit inventories, and maps for royalty payments.
