Job summary

Turner-Mining-Group-LLC seeks an experienced Senior Mining/Project Engineer to support the Thacker Pass Project's development in northern Nevada. You will oversee planning, construction, and the transition to operations, combining mine engineering, project engineering, and field support.

The role requires collaboration with operations, engineering, and on-site contractors to maintain schedules, optimize equipment use, and ensure safe, compliant development as the mine moves into production.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mining Eng, Civil Eng, Geological Eng, Construction Eng, or Mechanical Eng.
• 5–10 years of engineering experience in a surface mining environment.
• Experience with mine development, major construction projects, or transition to production is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of large earthmoving equipment and its application in surface mining.

Responsibilities

• Track mining, production, and construction activities against plans and project objectives.
• Develop and update short-range mine and construction plans to maintain schedules.
• Prepare equipment schedules and support efficient utilization of mining equipment.
• Develop ore grade-control plans and schedules to optimize operational efficiency.
• Plan and track plant waste streams as the operation transitions into production.
• Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance teams.
