Job summary

Turner-Mining-Group-LLC is seeking a survey technician for the Thacker Pass Project in Orovada, NV. You will conduct ground and unmanned aerial surveys, process data, and provide AutoCAD drafting support for mine planning and development.

Responsibilities include establishing aerial survey control, piloting a UAS, CAD modeling, and data management in spreadsheets. Applicants should have 2+ years post-secondary education in surveying/engineering and FAA Part 107 or be able to obtain within 60

Qualifications

• Knowledge of land surveying and engineering practices.
• Post-secondary education in civil engineering tech or surveying.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson/Trimble, and MS 365.
• Ability to work independently or with others.
• Experience in surface mining surveying is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ground and UAV surveys and process data for mine planning.
• Provide AutoCAD drafting support for mapping and mine plans.
• Establish control for aerial surveys and pilot UAS operations.
• Perform CAD calculations and 3-D modeling as needed.
• Manage survey data and prepare monthly reports and maps.
• Assist with staking haul roads, ponds, and boundaries.
