Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Chief Surveyor to lead mine surveying across Nevada operations. You will ensure accurate spatial data collection, oversee safety and regulatory compliance, and manage survey technology and teams.

The role requires 10+ years in mining surveying, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and licensure (PLS/PS/RPLS). Experience with open pit and underground projects, Deswik/Vulcan/Surpac software, and ArcGIS is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in surveying or related field and 10+ years’ mining surveying experience.
  • Licensure as PLS/PS/RPLS or equivalent required by jurisdiction.
  • Experience leading survey teams in both surface and underground mining environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the mine survey personnel; set goals and standards.
  • Coordinat e survey activities with planning, geology, engineering, operations and environmental teams.
  • Oversee GNSS/GPS, total stations, laser scanners, and UAV-based surveying.
  • Maintain survey databases, control networks, and 3D models; generate maps and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with mining laws, regulations, permits and company policies.
