Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Regional Training & Assurance Superintendent to lead safety, health and training initiatives across multiple mine sites in Nevada. You will guide regional teams, drive competency-based programs, and ensure regulatory alignment with MSHA requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, workforce development, and data-driven improvements to deliver safe, healthy, and compliant mining operations for a world-class portfolio.

Qualifications

• Ten years mining experience in surface/underground/process operations/health & safety/training or workforce development.
• Five years leadership experience managing supervisors, specialists, or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience leading training, workforce development, competency management, or assurance programs.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining industry training requirements.
• Experience implementing competency-based training systems.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and employee development skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and development for Training Mine General Supervisors, Training Assurance Specialists, and Regional Competency Specialists.
• Establish priorities, schedules and resource allocation across regional Training Mine and Assurance teams.
• Lead workforce planning to support current and future needs.
• Conduct performance reviews and talent management activities.
• Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and field execution across all mine sites.
• Oversee New Hire Training, Hazard Training, Intro to Work, and Training Mine programs.
• Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor training performance metrics and program effectiveness.
• Oversee regional Training Assurance Program and compliance reviews.
• Support standardization and continuous improvement of materials, lesson plans and assessments.
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices and emerging workforce development strategies.
