Placements24 is seeking a Mining Recruitment Specialist to join our client’s Upington team, focusing on operational mining roles such as Mine Managers, Geologists, Metallurgists, and Safety Officers. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle from client brief to sourcing, screening, and placement.

You will build a strong mining talent pipeline, conduct in-depth assessments, negotiate offers, and contribute to onboarding.

Qualifications

• Proven recruitment experience in mining, especially operational roles.
• Experience placing Mine Manager, Superintendent, Geologist, Metallurgist or Safety Officer.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment and operations.

About the Role

Our client, a specialist recruitment consultancy serving the resources sector, is seeking a skilled Mining Recruitment Specialist to join their dedicated team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role focuses on recruiting for operational positions within the mining industry, including roles such as Mine Managers, Operations Superintendents, Geologists, Metallurgists, and Safety Officers. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding client operational needs to sourcing, assessing, and placing qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with mining companies to understand their operational staffing requirements and challenges.
• Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for a range of operational roles within the mining sector.

• Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of talent relevant to mining operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in recruitment, with a focus on the mining industry, particularly operational roles.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing and placing candidates in positions such as Mine Manager, Superintendent, Geologist, Metallurgist, or Safety Officer.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment, and operational environments.
