Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mining Recruitment Specialist to join our client’s Upington team, focusing on operational mining roles such as Mine Managers, Geologists, Metallurgists, and Safety Officers. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle from client brief to sourcing, screening, and placement.

You will build a strong mining talent pipeline, conduct in-depth assessments, negotiate offers, and contribute to onboarding.

Qualifications

• Proven recruitment experience in mining, especially operational roles.
• Experience placing Mine Manager, Superintendent, Geologist, Metallurgist or Safety Officer.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment and operations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build credibility with clients and candidates in the resources sector.

Responsibilities

• Partner with mining companies to understand staffing needs.
• Source, screen and interview candidates for operational mining roles.
• Conduct in-depth assessments of technical skills and safety awareness.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of mining talent.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, including offers and onboarding.
