Job summary

NASCO Industrial Services & Supply LLC (NISS) is seeking a Mining Support Specialist to provide technical support and maintenance for mining and drilling contractors. The role demands field service work, servicing rock-drilling equipment, and supporting both open-pit and underground operations in remote environments.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, capable of working independently, and comfortable traveling extensively, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in remote field environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including overnight and extended travel to remote job sites.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy equipment and components.
• Ability to work safely in harsh weather conditions and rugged terrain.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screenings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on proper use and operation of drilling tools and components to support safe performance.
• Travel to customer locations and mine sites across assigned territories.
• Provide technical support on drilling procedures, tool applications, and equipment performance.
• Recommend corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist with inventory control, parts management, and consumable tracking.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional service and expertise.
