Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. is seeking a Mining Field Technician to diagnose, repair, and service Caterpillar mining equipment at customer sites, in the field or shop.

The role requires the ability to work independently, travel to job sites, and adhere to safety policies and site procedures. You will perform diagnostics on engines, powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC, and undercarriage components, with a focus on safety and workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years equivalent experience in a Caterpillar mining or similar environment with hydraulic, engine and powertrain experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Med Card or Class A CDL may be required depending on field truck GVW.
• Ability to obtain MSHA certifications as required by customer site.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
