Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. in Fort Meade, Florida is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain, repair and inspect mining equipment at customer sites.

This onsite role requires diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and testing repaired equipment for proper performance. The position requires an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent trade education, with a minimum of four years of related experience and flexibility for shift work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Work in a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the mining equipment.
• Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites.
• Test the repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one year technical college education.
• Experience with motor controls, circuit's installations, reading and understanding schematics, PLC's, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting.
• Knowledge on how to align couples on motors, transfer cases and gearboxes.
• Must have experience with Dragline heavy equipment.
