Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Business Development Professional and Senior Project Manager to drive growth in the mining sector across the Mountain Region. The role involves leading strategic initiatives, client development, and project oversight across multiple states in the western US.

The successful candidate will bring long-term mining sector experience, consulting expertise, and a track record of leadership, coordination with regulators, and delivering integrated services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field; advanced degrees and professional registration strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience, including mining sector experience and at least 5 years in a consulting role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the expansion of the mining business across the western United States.
• Manage and grow key client accounts within the Mining sector.
• Develop and implement mining sector strategic plan and win strategies.
• Oversee permitting and planning for mining-related projects; manage budgets and schedule.
• Mentor staff, coordinate with regulators, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive integrated service delivery across Stantec with cross-line collaboration.
