Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Environmental Sciences/Environmental Engineering practitioner to join as a Business Development Professional and Senior Project Manager for the Mountain Region. The role focuses on expanding mining-related services, growing key client accounts, and leading project teams across multiple states.

The candidate will guide strategic planning, client interviews, and the execution of mining sector initiatives while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience, including mining sector experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a consulting role.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead expansion of mining business in the western US.
• Manage and grow key mining client accounts.
• Develop and maintain broad client relationships in the sector.
• Coordinate with regional leaders to achieve performance targets.
• Oversee permitting, planning, and regulatory compliance for mining projects.
• Mentor staff in technical practices and project management.
