Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Business Development Professional and Senior Project Manager to drive mining sector growth across the Mountain Region. The role involves leading strategic sales efforts, client relationship management, and delivery of complex mining projects.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with regulators and clients, and guide multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality environmental analyses, reports, and regulatory compliance. Travel to site locations will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mining sector, including at least 5 years in a consulting role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the expansion of our mining business in the western United States.
• Guide permitting and planning for mining projects, including budgets, invoicing, and client liaison.
• Mentor staff in technical practices, regulatory strategy, and project management.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory/resource agencies, and local governments.
• Oversee environmental analyses and technical reports under NEPA or other regulations.
