Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Limited in Denver, Colorado is offering a 12-week Full Asset Potential Diagnostic Intern position focused on solving real-world mining challenges. You will own a core technical project from start to finish, analyze datasets from mining operations, and deliver a final report and presentation to technical leadership.

You will engage stakeholders, set performance targets, and present findings clearly, while learning project management fundamentals in a hands-on internship

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master’s student pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or a closely related field.
• Foundational knowledge/experience in open pit or underground mining or processing plants.
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, managing timelines, and delivering a final technical report and presentation.
• Clean, analyze, and model complex datasets related to mining, mobile fleet, and/or process plant metrics across gold mines.
• Engage stakeholders to validate data and models.
• Set data-driven performance targets and garner mine-site support.
• Guide mine-site personnel through project ideation and planning process to close gap to targets.
