Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti is offering a 12-week Business Development Internship in Denver, CO. You will conduct industry and market research, support financial due diligence, and develop models to evaluate mining assets and partnerships. You’ll own a core project from start to finish and present findings to technical leadership.

The role provides hands-on experience in finance and mining operations, with travel opportunities and a focus on growth, collaboration, and practical project delivery.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a rising junior in an undergraduate program pursuing Finance, Business Admin, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and operations.
• Exposure to finance, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze datasets and present findings clearly.
• Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and ask questions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, with timelines, final report, and presentation.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research to assess mining assets and opportunities.
• Support evaluation of assets and opportunities through financial modeling and due diligence.
• Gather and analyze operational, financial, and market data to assess economics and risk.
• Develop financial models for exploration, development, acquisition, and capital projects.
