You will work closely with Mine Planning and Operations to own a core technical project, deliver a final report and presentation, and gain hands-on exposure to short- and long-range mine planning, scheduling, and production analytics. This program emphasizes practical problem solving, collaboration, and exposure to real-world mining

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master's or PhD student pursuing Mining Engineering or related field.
• Foundational understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and mine planning principles.
• Familiarity with mine planning software platforms such as Vulcan, Deswik, or Hexagon.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, managing timelines, and delivering a final technical report and presentation.
• Review and develop mine engineering deliverables, including short-range or long-range mine plans, scheduling, and drill & blast designs.
• Assist with technical trade-off studies, haulage optimizations, or equipment sizing evaluations to support operational efficiency.
• Support the design, execution, and data analysis of mine production tracking and continuous improvement programs.
